- Lodging GTI visa without EOI is traditionally used for Sportsperson/Celebrity applicants (not Professionals/Academics).
- ImmiAccount always had the option to select ‘no invitation received’ and proceed with lodgment (Highly risky for Professionals/Academics).
- Being able to lodge GTI visa without Invitation is NOT NEW – unless you are an extremely exceptional candidate (already contributing to Australia), we do NOT recommend the academic/working professional cohort to lodge GTI visa directly.
- Au govt typically do NOT refund fee, lodging the GTI visa directly without invitation could also lead to visa refusal that would impact your future applications.
- There are no clear indications of whether GTI EOI currently lodged will be discarded or considered under the NIV program. The earliest EOI we have lodged that is still being processing is from mid June 2024.
- All the govt posts to date as indicated – NIV will also use EOI system, NIV talent and Global Talent will share the same 4000 quota.
- Original NIV release date was supposed to be Nov 2024, now pushed back to end of the year (possibily even early next year).
